Who We Are

SaddleMiles is operated by MR* Ranch Co. We provide a GPS horse ride tracking application for iOS and Android. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at jkmiller933@gmail.com.

What Data We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or an anonymized relay address if you choose to hide your email). This is stored securely and used only to identify your account.

Location Data (GPS)

When you start a ride, the app records GPS coordinates during the ride to calculate distance, speed, and to draw the trail map. Location data is collected only while the app is in use and a ride is active. We do not track location in the background. GPS track points are stored on our servers and associated with your account.

Horse Profiles

You may add information about your horses: name, breed, color, notes, and a photo. Photos are stored securely on our servers. This data is associated with your account and is not shared with anyone.

Ride Records

Each ride record includes: start time, end time, duration, distance, top speed, average speed, GPS track, notes, and the horse associated with the ride. This data is stored on our servers and associated with your account.

Device Information

We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or crash analytics at this time.

How We Use Your Data

• To display your ride history, statistics, and trail maps within the app
• To associate rides with the correct horse profiles
• To identify your account when you sign in
• To respond to support requests

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the SaddleMiles service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Apple Inc. — for Sign in with Apple authentication (governed by Apple's Privacy Policy)
• Replit Inc. — our hosting infrastructure provider. Your data is stored on servers operated by Replit. See Replit's Privacy Policy.
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all personal data (account info, horse profiles, ride records including GPS tracks, and photos) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all data associated with your account
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability — request your ride data in a portable format

Children's Privacy

SaddleMiles is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Session tokens are stored in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain). We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, though no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
